American Black Hereford Association Brings National
Meeting to The Nashville Fair in 2026
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June, 9, 2026) — The American Black Hereford Association (ABHA) has announced that its premier event, the National American Black Hereford Association Annual Members Meeting & Conference, will be held in conjunction with The Nashville Fair, Sept. 11–20, 2026.
After many successful years at the American Royal in Kansas City, the prestigious national meeting will now take place in Nashville, further positioning the city as a growing hub for livestock exhibitions and agricultural events.
The multi-day event will bring together top breeders, exhibitors and industry leaders from across the country for the National Black Hereford Open Show and Junior National Show, as well as the association’s annual meeting and educational programming.
“We look forward to welcoming the inaugural Black Hereford Event to The Nashville Fairgrounds, a location rich in agricultural and livestock history,” said Mayor Freddie O’Connell. “Pairing this inaugural event with The Nashville Fair will bring new energy, elite competition, and livestock innovation to our annual event. The location, atmosphere, incredible hospitality, and entertainment in Music City will make this an outstanding experience for both ABHA members and locals enjoying the Nashville Fair.”
“Bringing the American Black Hereford Association to Nashville is a monumental step in increasing agricultural education and cattle farming in Middle Tennessee,” said Fair Manager Scott Jones of The Nashville Fair. “This event will attract some of the nation’s top cattle producers and continue to elevate the Fair’s reputation as a premier destination for livestock events.”
Attendees can expect a full schedule of activities, including educational sessions, networking opportunities, and time for members to connect and collaborate on the future of the breed. The American Black Hereford continues to be one of the fastest-growing cattle breeds in the country, adding to the significance of this national gathering.
"Nashville's rich agricultural landscape lends a tremendous opportunity for the American Black Hereford Association, which will gather breeders, exhibitors and families for the 2026 Annual Members Meeting," said Ernie Dominguez, Executive Vice President of the ABHA. "As one of the country's most vibrant and agriculture-friendly cities, it will be the perfect location for a weekend of competition, education and fellowship."
The Nashville Fair returns for its fifth year in 2026, bringing 10 days of family-friendly fun, interactive agriculture exhibits, thrilling rides, live music and cultural performances to the Nashville Fairgrounds Sept. 11-20. This year’s theme, “Fun for the Whole Country,” is in celebration of America’s 250th birthday.
