Mikayla is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Tennessee, in both the Memphis and Nashville areas. She began singing when she was 5 and started writing songs around age 13. The songs Mikayla writes tend to mirror circumstances she has faced in her life, and her goal is to glorify Jesus with them! Her love for Christian-country sound has come from jamming out to K-LOVE on the radio as a kid, and listening to Carrie Underwood belt on the Opry stage, who she then got to meet during her audition for American Idol! Mikayla plays regularly in writers rounds and has exciting things happening behind the scenes!
